USB - Redesign a Pendrive
Every pendrive occupies a USB port. The problem identified was that the user had to remove one of the plugged devices to put in the new device. By means of Multi USB Hub (which is found in USB Hubs) the USB is capable of detecting other USB compatible devices. USB enables the user to use the memory which is located on its one end and to use its other end as a female port for another usb device.
Due to its magnetic casing, the copper strips provide a simple closure devoid of caps which one tends to lose. Due to its specific closure system USB serves as a bookmark and a U clip. It also provides the user with options on how to carry it. 2011 Industrial Design -

Adidas Switch
Switch is a shoe based on the Switch Strap which is a simple strap cut from softgoods' waste. The straps aim at eliminating the usage of plastic for carry bags. The These same straps can be used to close the shoe. The interesting feature about the Adidas Switch was that the brand would actually sell an "incomplete shoe" and the user is given the responsibility to complete the design and the branding with the "switch straps".The concept was built to encourage users to express themselves through the "Switch Straps. During the analysis it was observed that some users retain themselves form customising their beloved kicks as they did not want a permanent stamp which they could regret in future. In this scenario the straps takes the role of a platform to portray one's expression. Being cheap the switch straps could be replaced or swapped regularly Users could exchange straps among them or even illustrate on them. Adidas Switch aims at bringing back the era of Adicolors.

One week short project. A floater replacement concept where it uses a simple strap cut out from industrial waste. Through its simple closure its a replcaement option when compared to other systems such as laces and velcro.

Xtep Fire Dance Contest
The Xtep Fire Freak is a shoe for the ultimate tredster. The shoe is strictly for attention seekers. The shoe is inspired by the theme fire- Fire is an element which is always flowing and smooth and CURVILINEAR. This thought of fire has been personified into the unique construction used in the Fire Freak. The pattern is simply cut into strips and then twisted followed by stitching onto the rest of the panels. This creates a three dimensional upper which would hence attract plenty of attention. If the the strips are colored on both sides it could have the same multi colored language of the element-FIRE. Catching the audience has been the prior aim in the design of this shoe. High priority was given to branding. Detailed and enlarged logos ensure a long lasting impression on the user. The shoe follows the current trend of lightweight footwear. The see through net at the counter ensures a lightweight first impression on the onlooker.
